ABC nursery project

Leave it to two talented art school grads and owners of graphic design studio, Form Code to develop an artistic, modern and soothing nursery for their baby boy! And they make it all seem as easy as 123…

“Our inspiration for the room was the bedding for one- it’s Dwell Alphabet bedding. We thought it would be a great beginning for the room, we’re both art graduates and back in our day (lol) we had a hand lettering class. My husband’s best class, mine not so much- so it was kind of a good connection for us to bring that memory back to our son’s room. We used BEHR paint for the room, the colors for the wall are Cumberland Fog, Little Dipper and Silver Strand. The mural was created on the computer and then projected on the wall- from there we hand painted all of the letters….fun, fun! Ha! The monkey on the wall was “Magnus” from egg press- we thought he was so cute, so we replicated him as a painting.”

A Friend of mine introduced me to a friends of hers, SICKFEET Art.
Shes got some of her original painting up in her nursery, and its so cute, I had to blog about about it. Heres is her about me on her Etsy.com profile

Jyll Ethier-Mullen is an artist, illustrator, and painter from Rhode Island who moved to Southern California in the fall of 2003.In 2006 She then moved back to RI with her husband after having a baby boy. Studying illustration at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, she was able to develop her own unique style of characters and textures that display her creative world of Sickfeet. If her work had to be described by comparison, it would be best to say “if Tim Burton and Dr. Seuss would have collaborated, they might have produced something similar to the realm of Sickfeet.”
She began her career as an artist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts entering art in various shows and art festivals. Her aspirations include a Sickfeet book for ages twelve and up, more art shows on the west coast, and a plethora of creations varying from magnets to toys. Ethier-Mullen says of her work, “I want to express truths and real life experiences through an unreal world of extraordinary lands and characters.”
